Book Club

Clubs are currently running for ALL ages! Book clubs are a very fun and engaging way to enjoy reading! These clubs are ideal for students who LOVE reading and want to chat about their books as well as students who dislike reading and would benefit from a motivating environment with peers. In class, the teacher supports discussion about characters, book themes, and vocabulary. Language Arts skills are introduced and discussed in an exciting way that doesn’t even feel like learning! Please note that students will have reading homework in between classes, although it is very minimal (1-2 chapters per week). This class is focused more on enjoying the book and engaging in discussion as we take our time reading. Families are responsible for purchasing or getting the book from the library. We have classes divided into 5 ability levels: pre-readers, lower elementary, upper elementary, middle, and high school. Please remember that these divisions are based on reading level and topics discussed rather than grade level. You are welcome to place your child in any class they would enjoy the best!
